KV Construction worked with a builder/general contractor on a new construction apartment project at 13726 Densmore Avenue North in Seattle’s Haller Lake area. The site included two buildings on one lot, with siding, window, sliding door, soffit, trim, and waterproofing work completed across both the larger and smaller structures.
The larger building included 51 windows and 2 sliding doors. The smaller building included 18 windows and 1 sliding door. Both buildings received HydroGap drainable paper, HydroGap tape around windows, smooth HardiePanels, smooth Hardie 5/4×4 window and door trim, primed metal H-channel outside corners, primed W metal inside corners, primed Z flashing on window trims, smooth vented HardieSoffit with 3/8-inch aluminum H-channel seams, and entryway soffits with 1×6 TK cedar.
For multifamily new construction in Seattle, repeated details are where quality shows. KV Construction kept the two-building package consistent while handling a large number of openings, panel seams, metal channels, and cedar entry accents.

This Haller Lake project included a larger and smaller apartment structure. Keeping the materials and installation details consistent across both buildings helped the site feel cohesive.

The combined scope included 69 windows and 3 sliding doors across both buildings. That many openings requires disciplined flashing, trim, and sequencing.

HydroGap drainable paper and HydroGap tape were installed around windows to support moisture management behind the smooth HardiePanel system.

Smooth HardiePanels gave the apartment buildings a clean, modern surface. Paired with metal H-channel and W corner details, the exterior reads sharp and organized.

Entryway soffits with 1×6 TK cedar add warmth where residents and visitors enter the buildings. The cedar accents balance the clean panel siding.

Smooth vented HardieSoffit with 3/8-inch aluminum H-channel seams created a clean eave detail that matched the overall modern exterior package.
