Granite Falls HardiePlank Siding, Shingles & Window Reinstallation
KV Construction completed a full exterior siding package for Gene’s home in Granite Falls, WA. The project included tearing off old siding, repairing rotten areas in the existing T1-11 panel system with OSB plywood, reinstalling 10 windows, installing a new front door, rebuilding the garage casing, and wrapping the home with a new Hardie weather-resistive system.
The new exterior combines primed 8 1/4-inch James Hardie Cedarmill lap siding with a 7-inch reveal, straight edge primed shingles on the gables, 5/4×8 belly band, Cedarmill vented HardieSoffit around the eaves, and primed Hardie trim around windows, doors, and corners. The finish uses Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint in a Northwest green palette: SW 6207 Retreat for the siding and soffits, SW 6208 Pewter Green for the upper shingles, and SW 7005 Pure White for trim.
Granite Falls homes sit in a wetter foothill climate, so this project focused on more than curb appeal. KV Construction rebuilt weak areas, integrated window flashing, sealed blocks and trim with QUAD MAX, and created a more durable siding system for long-term rain and moisture exposure.

“KV Construction replaced the siding on my entire house with Hardy products. It looks amazing and I cannot find a flaw anywhere. Exceptional quality and attention to detail – both in the craftsmanship and the paint. This is the company you want doing your siding project. Highly recommended.”

Rotten T1-11 Areas Repaired Before New Siding
Before installing the new siding package, KV Construction removed damaged siding and replaced rotten spots with OSB plywood on the sides and back of the home. That gave the new Hardie system a cleaner, stronger base.

10 Windows Reinstalled With Proper Flashing
The windows were reinstalled as part of the exterior upgrade, allowing the crew to reset the opening details with HardieFlash tape, 26GA head flashing, and metal flashing at trim and blocks.

Cedarmill Lap Siding With Gable Shingle Accents
The main body of the house uses primed Hardie lap siding, while the upper gables feature straight edge primed shingles. This combination adds depth without making the exterior feel busy.

Northwest Green Color Palette
Sherwin-Williams Retreat and Pewter Green give the home a calm foothill look that fits Granite Falls. Pure White trim adds contrast around windows, fascia, corners, and the new garage casing.

Garage Casing and House Number Block Details
KV Construction removed the old garage casing and installed a square Cedarmill 5/4×8 casing. A custom block was also made for the house numbers below the light, keeping that detail integrated into the siding system.

Vented HardieSoffit Around the Entire Home
Cedarmill vented HardieSoffit was installed on all eaves around the home. This gives the roofline a cleaner finish while helping attic ventilation and moisture control.
