Ravenna Seattle House and Garage ColorPlus Hardie Siding Installation
KV Construction worked with a general contractor on this Ravenna Seattle exterior project at Sunnyside Ave N. The scope covered both the house and the existing garage, including old lead-painted siding removal, fascia work, HardieWrap, HardieFlash, window and block flashing, ColorPlus trim, Cedarmill soffit, and pre-painted James Hardie lap siding.
On the house, the crew installed Arctic White 5/4×8 fascia board, Arctic White Hardie Cedarmill soffit, pre-painted ColorPlus Arctic White rustic Hardie 5/4×4 outside corners, window trim, and door trim. The siding package used 8 1/4-inch pre-painted ColorPlus Hardie lap siding selected by the owner, with matching blocks and Z metal flashings tied into the exterior system.
The garage received the same disciplined approach: Arctic White Hardie Cedarmill soffit, Arctic White 5/4×4 corners and door trim, and 8 1/4-inch ColorPlus siding to match the house. For a Ravenna property with multiple structures, this keeps the exterior consistent without making the garage look like an afterthought.

House and Garage Treated as One Exterior Package
The project included both the main house and the existing garage. Matching siding, trim, and soffit materials help the property read as one finished exterior instead of two disconnected scopes.

Lead-Painted Siding Removed Before Rebuild
KV Construction removed the old lead-painted siding before installing the new weather barrier and siding system. As an EPA Lead-Safe Certified contractor, KV approaches these projects with the right level of care.

Arctic White ColorPlus Trim Details
Arctic White rustic Hardie trim was used around windows, doors, corners, and garage openings. This gives the exterior a crisp trim line and supports a cleaner pre-painted finish.

Cedarmill HardieSoffit and Fascia Integration
The house received Arctic White 5/4×8 fascia board and Cedarmill Hardie soffit, while the garage fascia was painted with Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint. These roofline details help the siding package feel complete.

Window and Block Flashing Built Into the System
HardieFlash, 26GA window flashing, ColorPlus metal flashings, and Z metal were used around openings and blocks. These details are essential for Seattle rain exposure.

ColorPlus Lap Siding Selected by the Owner
The owner-selected ColorPlus siding provides a factory-finished James Hardie exterior. Paired with Arctic White trim, the final look is clean, durable, and coordinated across both structures.
